Thank you for visiting Pine Glades Natural Area and helping us document the water level and vegetation change over time from the observation platform. This photopoint at Pine Glades overlooks a restored wetland ecosystem. Historically, portions of this area was used for agriculture and in the mid- to late-1970's ditches, dirt berms and roads were built for the establishment of a failed rural.

Pine Glades Natural Area is largely wet. It is nearly 6,700 acres of wet prairies, marshes, ponds and wet flatwoods punctuated by cypress domes, slash pines and cabbage palms. Much of it is wide open. It is among the newest natural areas in Palm Beach County, having just opened in 2014.
